Bus and shuttle routes, schedules, and stops are determined in conjunction with The Gauteng Provincial Government and the relevant municipal transportation planning departments and must also be approved by the Licensing Board for public transportation.
Routes, schedules, and stops are determined based on many considerations including potential patronage, route distances, number of buses available and whether there is existing coverage by other public transport services (Metro buses, BRT, taxis, etc.).
The Gautrain Bus and shuttle Services Planning Committee meets regularly to review bus routes. Amendments and updates are made based on written submissions received from customers as well as detailed market research conducted.
Naturally it is not possible to implement each person’s route, schedule or stop preference, and we do apologize if this results in some inconvenience to individual users.
